When the car was on it, and the pilot had confident in it… there was magic happening.
The car part of that hasn’t always been there unfortunately… for whatever reason.

It was a nice video clip.
Heartfelt and honest.

The kind of thing Mr Ricciardo should probably have been allowed to do before escaping the Red Bull army.

Hopefully the next piece of news Mr Winterbottom offers as he suggests in the video will include some kind of media gig..

Henry should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Frosty's always been a curious study. As many point out, on his day he was quick and ferocious, and perhaps it's an indictment on FPR/Tickford Racing that he didn't stitch more titles together, and perhaps just another reference mark as to the calibre of the opposition during his peak years. One might wonder though, if a truly extraordinary individual in terms of not just driving, but the racing head-game - an SVG, an Ambrose, a Skaife or a McLaughlin f'rinstance - may have levered better performance from that team during those years...

There is a tendency too, for many of the older drivers to remain in place until they are unceremoniously pushed out, and it's not just Supercars (as evidenced by GTR's Ricciardo reference above). I'm not sure why so many drivers - and their fanbases - feel that the primary compelling argument for their continued presence in the sport is their current presence in the sport. Once upon a time, when the bloke who drove the car generally owned it they could dictate the longevity of their career... but only if the sponsors were content to indulge them... lots of blokes outstayed their form...

And Frosty isn't the only one in the 2024 field of which we could say such things.

But he's 100% a better co-driver option for just about any team in the field than Slade...
