Tickford Is On The Market!!
Story Here
Just about year this possibility was much rumoured, with possible suitors balking at what is usually reported to be large yet unquoted sell price. Wonder if a change of control might invalidate drive and/or sponsor contracts. If so.. it would probably impact the sell price… yet equally allow a marketer with a possible full budget to put his hand to any and all aspects of the operation… Interesting times.. |

Amidst a bunch of other chat rubbish ig this article, the AA podcast, Mr Clarke in particular, reckons the only way to have the current owners exit the rented Tickford building is writing a cheque for $25 million

Two RECs, 4x Gen 3 chassis, 4x Gen 2 chassis, spares for all, 2x B-double transporters, a bunch of well kept machine tools, chassis jigs and high cost CNC, a hefty dyno room, a clean room for preparing components. the brand name, and a variety of employees that know how to put a car on the track without the wheels falling off.. plus sponsor agreements to help pay for it.. but likely not the building the team is said not to own.
If the team owners are still kicking money into the operation. Every year, it has a truly dreadful ROI, and is looking for a patronage not a commercial investor. Perhaps. V8Supercar teams, especially non-homologating ones, are largely tuners these days. There is no need for a massive machine shop for Gen3 as all the bits rock up in a box from someone else. |

They were going for $1.5 million in the 2009 - 2012 period. But I believe some of the more recent sales have been low six figures.
