Bob Diggory should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Aston Martin DBR2/2

Does anyone have any colour pictures of my uncle Syd's (once removed - OK Fraser?) DBR2/2? I am contemplating building a replica as a retirement project and need to know his team colours. I seem to remember his cars were cream yellow with a black bonnet stripe but I never saw them myself.
I have finally concluded my racing days are now over and have a gaping void in my garage to fill. Hence the five year project

The car in the main picture is one we built for a customer who wanted one of the later DBR2 , 12 valve engines .
If you are going for that spec , the heads & blocks for these engines are being remanufactured now , but can be very expensive compared to other engine options .

That is quite beautiful and better engineered than anything I could ever hope to achieve. However I now know what to aim for despite a limited budget!
Syd Diggory (my uncle) bought his DBR from Stirling Moss and I am fairly certain he changed the livery before he raced it in 1960. I also recall Moss to Syd to court after a slight problem with the payment.
Thanks for the inspiration

Slight misprint in my last post , I meant 12 spark plug instead of 12 valve .

But if you want any details for the cars , you could speak to Andrew at the ASM link .
