Totally agree with you .
Most of the MSM are controlled by a few of the political types and only allow their lies and agenda to come out .
This has been going on for a long time , but getting worse over the years .
George Orwell,s book 1984 , was written in 1948 , and based upon his working time at the BBC .The MINISTRY OF TRUTH was about the media trying to control the general public by a constant stream of lies and propaganda , and now seems to be an instruction book for the people who want everything to be the way that they want .And now that seems to apply to nearly everything that you might read , hear or see .

Sadly Andy this is a conclusion I have also reached over the last few years and now tend to take no 'news' at face value and tend to question most things before forming my own conclusions. Plus, the more 'Main Stream' the Media in question is, the more controlled they appear to be (and the less I believe what they tell us).

A lot of the problems are the result of the world's population "needing" to have 24 hour revolving news, and news' outlets competing to have the latest updates. There is also a lot of lazy journalism and the media's seeming requirement to sensationalise virtually everything to keep ahead of their competition. And even the so called trusted outlets are just as guilty as the rest.

A simple example is a report in the last few hours on the BBC website concerning the Post Office Inquiry which heard the last witnesses on Wednesday. Below is a direct quote from the report:

However, in an extraordinary admission, Paul Patterson * revealed the Post Office contacted him as he was heading into the inquiry room to ask if they could use it for another four years.

* Paul Patterson is the boss of Fujitsu Europe

Now reading that you would, naturally, believe that this was shock news to the inquiry. However, this is far from the truth as two or three witnesses in the last month or so have told the inquiry that the replacement system is running years behind schedule, and way, way over budget and there are fears that it could even be 2030 before the new system, NBIT, is up and running in all the branches.

What the report didn't tell readers is that Fujitsu really do not want to continue supporting the Post Office's Horizon system because it is way past it's normal end date, and a large part of the back office administration of the system is already being transferred to the Post office and this will be completed by the end of the 1st quarter of next year. Also not explained in the report that discussion between the two companies about extending the maintenance contract has been ongoing for several months.
