Didn't Gerry Marshall win the last ever race there (in a Lister Jaguar)?

Yes , Gerry Marshall is listed as winning the last race .
But I actually raced in a Kart race meeting which was held later . And there were some more clubman events for a year or two .https://www.motorsportatthepalace.co.uk/RacingAtPalace

Going back in memory , I also raced at Aintree , [ probably 1970s ].
It had a full GP circuit , but that had its last race in 1964 , and continued with a club circuit until about 1982 . Now only track days and possibly M/C racing .

So that is another one gone .

One other name I recall is a circuit that I never raced at, and that is Longridge. However, just found two other circuits that I can't remember ever hearing of, and they are Davidstow and Ibsley, both former RAF airfields.

Some very good information in that link .
Another one I found is GRANSDEN LODGE .Again , a WW11 airfield used as a racetrack . First race was there in 1946 , some more in 1947 but then no more .

A bit in the news today about Fersfield .https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...b-village.html

Not as a race track but another story about an American pilot who took off from there before he was tragically lost in the war .

Not exactly an abandoned track, but little used. Bishopscourt in Northern Ireland is up for sale at £2m. Another place if bought could become a housing estate. Don't know.

If you log on to racingcircuis.com you will find a comprehensive history of the circuit. Not having been there myself I can't offer much more information. Nice place by the looks of it.

Bishopscourt is limited to 16 days usage per annum - typically, there is a single, two-day, car race meeting each year.

Actually found something that WIKI is good for .https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._racing_tracks
If you go down to United Kingdom , you will find a good list .
You can then click on names and usually find some of the History / Current use etc .
One there I did not know was used for racing was Boreham , before Ford took it over .

No wonder it isn't well known. Especially compared to Kirkistown

Interesting article on "sport bible.com" concerning Korea International race track. Built for F1, used for about 4 years until early 20's. Now abandoned.
