8/10
Shame about that pit stop as Button had such a smooth start and was doing so well, nevermind, I'm still in the points, I still have faith that he can win and the next race will be the one where he gets first place! I was impressed with Schumi keeping Alonso back for so long and then Rosberg for a short while. Massa was back in form and showing that his mind was no longer on that crash but back in the game, strong performance from him. Some great overtaking, very smooth from a few of the racers (hamilton, Webber, Roseberg to name a few) which made exciting vieiwing. I was sad to see Button loose that podium. Not for me as I believe in the guy and know he will bounce back from this but I feel for him, he must be so disheartened. Nevermind I hope he recognises where he went wrong and comes back strong for next race. And even though I am not a fan of the man, I can recognise that both Webber and Hamilton race impressively to come from where they did to where they finished. |

What a turnaround from last weeks pitstop fest, 8/10. A fantastic drive by Webber and a mature performance by Hamilton. I really enjoyed the battle with Schumi and Alonso, pity those Pirellis don't last a bit longer but what might have been if Button hadn't fluffed his pitstop.

9/10. Brilliant! It had everything. Fantastic overtakes, close racing, different strategies, the lot. Pirelli have done a great job with the tyres from a spectacle point of view. Both 2 stops and 3 stops were a viable strategy, turns out 3 was just about the winner today.
DRS is doing its job spectacularly, but there was brilliant racing all over the track. We had passes into turn six, on the exit of turn six, into the hairpin, cut-backs on the exit, into the last turn, into turn 1... just awesome. Quote:

Faboulos race, if Malay was a 7 it gotta be an 8.5 at least. Overtaking for the lead at the closing stage is always breathtaking. Lot of action. Truly great (Trulli sucks tho)

We're not used to see spectacular races at Shanghai, but this one was quite exceptional. |

Wow.
Some much to see. Action packed, exciting and riveting from start to finish. To quote one Mr Vettel "This is what I'm talking about". 9 from me. 10 reserved for those very rare once in a lifetime races. P |

The best dry race in the last 2 decades IMO, thoroughly entertaining stuff all through the race, all through the field. You can't argue with that

Great GP. I gave it 10 because i was screaming at the tv when Button messed up his pitstop and then Hamo ran off the track...it seemed like the other teams were ready to gift Vettel the win. But McLaren had the pace to come back and there were a few swings and changes of fortune with Rosberg and wondering if he genuinely had the pace for the podium, in the final few laps the realisation that Webber could get on the podium...the race had it all

Best F1 race in what feels like an eternity. It had it all, and it had it all, all over the race track. |

I gave an 8. A highly entertaining race. Loads of stuff going on. A fluffed pitstop, team mates overtaking one another, lots of overtakes, plus the leader getting caught and passed in a dry race. How often does that happen in modern day F1? Not a lot. Only Canada last year was a more entertaining race. A good race from China. I hope that next year, if DRS is still being used, they change the position for it getting used, to maybe improve the show a little more.

Big fat 10/10 from me. Utterly enthralling, great battles all through the field, some fantastic overtaking, and the standard of racing (Perez excepted today) was as high as I can ever recall seeing it in the years I've been watching F1. Brilliant race.

I gave 10, because I couldn't find any fault with the race.... I even think the circuit is great, as it offers some great challenges and some great racing opportunities too.
I hope there are more races of this quality during the year. |
