Much damage? From where I was watching it looked like front right suspension only - then they lifted it onto the flatbed and the rear looked to be drooping "slightly".

My guess is that it was a racing incident - Winstanley went for the inside and you appeared to slightly move to the right to cover the manoeuvre. Did he put his right side wheels on the grass or just misjudge the gap?

Whatever the cause, it was a pity as the rest of the racing today was (mostly) contact free and good fun.

From looking at the footage, I'd say racing incident as well. Real shame though as there was a lot of quick cars out today and the racing was fair and clean too!

Typical isn't it though, when its your only race car, it stays unbent. Buy another, and whoops, its a trip into the scenery! Hope its sorted soon

"Racing Incident" or "going for non-existent gap"? You decide . . .

Every "racing incident" has a cause.

A pair of small JVC's costing under £150 mounted on two Tweeks rollbar mounts....and an additional break away cable on each (tie wrap) as required by the MSA...they do work as you could see by the footage when it came off the mount.

I think the rear camera and Suzy's editing make the footage so much more interesting and tells the whole story. I wouldnt mind fitting a rear view camera like that as often there is more action behind you than in front.

At six-seven seconds into the video it is clear that the Porsche has an excess of power and loses the rear end briefly on acceleration out of Gerards, but I'm trying to work out why the Porsche spun anti-clockwise, having dived right to make the attempted overtake - any suggestions? Are there any other videos of this accident, from the trackside?

Total guess on that phoenix - he put his nearside wheels on the grass and lost it, thus running into the back of Joss, sending the bullet to the inside barrier.

Smacks of inexperience - or poor forward planning. Good drivers are thinking three laps ahead, not three seconds - to finish first, first you have to finish. Though you have to balance that with "he who hesitates is last"

He clipped the kerb/grass and that was enough to put him into a spin,

Definitely a racing incident, but an avoidable one. One to be notched up to experience and good fortune that it was only metal that was damaged, fortunately all drivers near it when it happened drove very sensibly and avoided it getting any worse, well done guys.

And Porsche's amongst many weird and wonderful cars, are more than welcome in CT.

Will there be footage of Bullet vs Thurtle Camaro up anytime soon? That's going to be a fantastic watch.

i tend to agree with Denis, looks like two wheels on grass attempting pass and judging by the exhaust flames something else as well? backing off maybe?
