2014 R7 Can - Results
Lets get the penalties out of the way...
Gutierrez crashing in FP3 meant not able to qualify, however allowed to race at the stewards discretion, the obviously had to break park ferme so started 22nd from the pit lane. This is a 50 point penalty against Gutierrez. Kobayashi qualified 20th but required an out of sequence gearbox change, the penalty is a 5 place grid drop although he ultimately started 21st. This as per the rules is a 10 point penalty for the driver and 5 for the constructor. For the record, Perez, Massa and Gutierrez all failed to take the checkered flag but were classified in the official results, therefore receive finishers points. Of those no classified, Kvyat and Hamilton both had technical DNF's so 5 point penalties to Toro Rosso and Mercedes respectively, Both Caterhams and both Lotus cars failed to finish for technical reasons as well, so 10 point penalties to each constructor. Onto to the results, and amazingly despite all the negative points listed above, only 2 of the 31 teams ended up with a negative score. At the top we have a new winner with a very impressive 96 points it's Team Trundle, 5 points clear of Tuk TUk Racing on 91 points and in 3rd it's Alcoholics Racing Team with 80pts. In the overall the top 3 remain the same, but Tuk Tuk Racing's superbly timed substitution bringing Ricciardo into his team, brings the gap between first place Racing for Sealand on 532 points down to just eight as Tuk Tuk Racing now has 524 points. Team Foggy Notion remain in 3rd with 498 points. In the fantasy Drivers championship, Hulkenburg's consistency has now moved him up to second behind Rosberg. Hamilton's second big loss of points this season drops him to third just ahead of Alonso. |

Armco, I think you might need to get to the opticians....That's a polar Bear you're chasing at the moment not a sheep.
