that was only planned for the winter series. I kinda bonus for the clio championship.. Anyway he was a bit pants!
Singleseaters can swap to tin tops but its a different kettle of fish for tin top to formula....

About the 2cv thing though!? Maybe he should go racing in the US again?

I was actually present when the team Firstair boss said he was going to run FRenault this season as there is a lot of money in it etc and that they are proper racing cars - the idea was that Rivett would be their driver. Are Firstair not running in FRenault then? Are they still in Clios?

Sounds like history being rewritten there as I'm sure he was going to win the FR title this year according to some...

Rob Bell is still with the team and racing in the north american Formula Renault championship.
David, when did Ian (Firstair Boss) announce the Formula Renault Plan??? Just interested..
One of there clio's is being run by Team Griffin Racing and the went to SRE motorsport a new scottish team but hasn't as yet made its debut race due to driver funding probs.

He said it to "someone else" on the roof of the viewing platform on top of the pits at Rockingham about a year and a half ago I was with them when he said it, not that it is such a big thing... Obviously it was an idea, but did not come to fruition in the UK.

the idea was for the british fr originally. However the attraction of the states was the swinging factor

Rockingham winter series wasn't it..

He's racing Porsches with TCR. Doing pretty well!
