Thermals!

Think I have managed to get myself into a winter series meeting at Croft this November.

Anyone know of a good website that sells thermal clothing? Living in the bonnie Borders can present a problem when one wishes to purchase anything more involved than a T-bag.

Don't fancy freezing my off! all day.

Any advice will be much appreciated as always.

Good old Marks & Sparks sell Merino wool thermal undies-long johns & long sleeve vests. Mens style, but who cares-they are very warm & natural fiibre, so no danger of them melting.

Be careful as most themal underwear doesn't like heat, even hot exhaust can make them shrink.
Having said that there is always proban underwear & Damart also do a flame retardant version. Not to sure of it's proerties though.
And there is always M & S cotton Long johns.

Doesn't help with your original question I know but, surfing is half the fun (and 3/4 of the frustration) of being on the web.

Try a set of Nomex undies - nice and cosy, comfy to wear and heat resistant to boot!

Men's thermal long johns are all very well, but they do tend to have holes where no holes are required if you're a girly!

I get all my thermals from the Oxendales catalog. Good range of sizes and they also do black and lacy as well as the traditional not quite white and ugly!

Mike, are you going to be a Knockhill in October? Can you bring up some of your cosy stock and i'll bring my cheque book?

I take it I get 10% commision from all sales from the thread I started?

Only if ten-tenths get half for allowing you to. Now, where's that delete button...?

Go for the layer principle - a few layers of thin cotton underwear is always better than one thick heavy layer.

Anyway, it might be sunny....
