Fechna should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
WTCC Car Weights

I heard rumours, that the Ford Focus and the Chevy Lacetti are driving now with less minimum weight that the other FWD in the WTCC. Is this true, how many kilos have they been lightened and, why? just for closer racing or is there ANY more "sportly" explanation (like the weight changes to all FWD at the beginning of the season: IMO the difference between FWD and RWD became ridiculally small)

Because the Ford and Chevy were not competative they were allowed race with less weight. Don't know the exact figures.

From Silverstone the FWD cars were given -20kg on their minimum weight

Before Spa FIA tought that 20 were too much, and so they took all the FWDs to -10, except Ford and Chevy, that are still, -20kg, only to make them faster.
For me it's a bit unfair, all FWDs should have the same weight...

I totally agree with you. There have to be a fair championship, and there must be a handycap for RWD, but not because a car is slower, but because it´s an physically explainable advantage on BMW´s side.

I agree, SEAT hadn´t that advantage in 2003. However it could be necessary to have more manufacturers...

Yep, SEAT had no advantages in weight, but they were given the permission to completely change the rear suspension scheme, that is really different from the series car, so they had some help...

Anyway, i love the look of the new Léon, hope it will be also fast!

Anyway I wasn't complaining, that permission was necessary, because when the Toledo was built SEAT wasn't even thinking about making it a racecar.
With the Léon they started from scratch to make it good for racing, so...
