Ashley Cooper 11/07/80 – 25/02/08
Today is a black day for V8 Supercars with the passing away of rookie Ashley Cooper. 27yr old Cooper driving for Cooper Motorsport lost control of his Paul Morris Motorsport built Holden Commodore and smashed into the infamous turn 8 (also known as the "Dunlop Sweeper") at the Clipsal 500 race, doing over 120mph (200kph). Ash leaves behind his wife and two kids aged 5 and 3.
