Isn't that a bit like being married to Elle McPherson and being downstairs watching a porno while she's upstairs in bed??

I didn't think it was possible, but that both sucks and blows.

Saw something about it in the Melbourne Herald Sun Cars Guide several weeks ago. Still trying to get the point of it all.

Not quite sure I've followed this correctly, probably because it seems so pointless.

You park your own car on a rolling road then accelerate along a video/simulator view of a street of your choice. And looking at the prices, you can bring spectators?

I can only assume it's aimed at the 'modded so much they're slower than the original' brigade where the additional weight of aerofoils, flourescent lights, body kits and wheel trims won't result in you getting out-accelerated by a 1ltr Nissan at the lights.

Wouldn't it be better to just go to Calder Park on a Friday night? Its probably cheaper too, and you get the 'real' sensation of acceleration and real times in your own car that is actually moving.

It's aimed at the dyno queen/street drag market. The idea is they can seat a couple of thousand people in comfort, any night of the week regardless of weather.

Quite an advantage over a real track on Melbourne!

I saw that on a DVD... seems poitless.

Either use a playstation with steering wheel, or go to drags / trackdays.

There's a lot of good technology behind it. I'm a bit surprised by the negativity, but how many of you forum warriors actually take your own street cars to drag meets or track days anyway? I do both (drags lately), and am going to give this drag tag a try.

The answer to that is many of these "forum warriors" as you called us are actual race drivers as well. In my case not just in a street car but a touring car. I started in a street car doing track days so I believe I know what I'm talking about.

Doesn't necessarily make it any good, but I'm willing to listen. Do a report back if you do go, let us know what it's really like.

I'm aware some are race drivers, but some aren't. As for knowing what you're talking about, have you ever been married to Elle?

No I haven't, but to my eyes my wife leaves Elle for dead anyway.

kmsport has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
This and the "DYNO SHOOT OUTS" make me laugh. Then again, it might just be the way to keep idiots off the road.

The racing format for this I take it is not 1/4 mile Drag Racing but street racing around a street circuit against another car.(on times)

They are using Drag Tag as the catch so they don't have to say street racing.

Am I right or wrong in saying this.

How can the hardware and software analyse your car's handling capability in order to provide realism?
