pffff how is this right ???? what about those who dont have ITV 2 ???? o right X factor is more important ye ye, i mean ive got itv 2 but im arguing for those who dont , its not right something should be done, Race Weekend SHOULD be ITV's Main proriety not some cruddy show where people cant sing and then get offered deals and are never heard of again or rammed down our throats.

Not a big deal! |

but to some people thats a big deal, not everyone is as graced as us to have sky or anything, as ive said i have got sky but now more people have broadband than sky in this country, maybe its time ITV throught about it and had a Streaming thing on there website, or realised that no 1 cares about corrie or X-factor its only got big numbers cuz its around time people have tea and many people eat tea and watch tv.

Hmmm. I remember Kicking Back saying they couldn't show live F1 on ITV2 contractually...
Maybe they were just out to prove him wrong. |

I guess it being on ITV2 live is still better than it not being live at all, and only one ITV at 11:20pm like you'd usually have got.
But it's still pap service - but ITV aren't going to interrupt their popular (if not pathetic) Saturday night TV schedule with the millions of viewing of figures it gets with Formula One in the state it's in. For that I can't blame them. |

Well they managed to get back to their old ways pretty quickly.
Just caught the end of the news preceding the Qualifying on ITV1 and they gave the result and showed Shuey hitting the barriers! On the upside, I can get an early night. |

Nobody cares about Corrie or the X Factor?? are you living in Britain? these are two of the most popular shows on TV. No matter how much you love watching Zsolt drive his single lap, maybe you should realise you are in a minority...most of UK would still rather watch Simon Cowell slag people off! But then, not all of us are privileged with broadband, either.

If the race had been a championship-decider, I suspect ITV would've showed it live. Under the circusmtances they were (sad to say) right not to, because their existing programmes have much higher viewing figures, and people who usually watch X-Factor wouldn't watch this, they'd watch BBC or go out.
A lot of us are living in some sort of fantasy land where the general public cares about our little psort - we should be gateful that we did at least get the full session on terrestrial |

It was replayed at 11.20 pm in full on ITV1 as far as I know.
I doubt ITV are legally bound to show Qualifying live on ITV1 all the time or else we wouldn't get it not shown/shown on ITV. |

You can get one of those boxs for about £30 now though? Knowing ITV, the qualifying will probably be on ITV3 next year!

Hey, if they at least give an alternative channel showing EVERY session live then I will be happy!
But still give those without satellite something to watch though, of course. |

I miss Eurosport. Every practice session, qualifying, warm-up and race live. I even miss paying £14 for one GP on F1Digital.

I nosiest that program finishes at 7:50pm. Why can't it finish at 8. Therefore we don't have to switch to ITV2 so we can see the review show, podium and press conference.
It's ridiculous. You only have to remember the Canadian GP this year when they did this. Epically if it's going to rain the race if it finishes full distance won't finish till about 8.15pm. Or then may ITV just cut of the race so people can see Coronation Street a few minutes early. Last edited by luke; 24 Oct 2004 at 15:12. |

The contract requires ITV to show every race live, which they've done every year, even when that invovles buying time back from GMTV in order to show China and Malaysia live.
The BBC never showed live non-European qualifyin when they had the coverage - in fact it was only in the last couple of years that they showed any qualifying live other than Silverstone - and F2 was much mroe popular and viewer-friendly a decade ago. |
