It might be the other way round. DBR9/2 was at the Silverstone Classic over the weekend. It carried the no. 007 and had Enge and Turner over the door apertures. Can we assume that the competition numbers are not swapped between the two cars?

This Aston has been prepared for the next ALMS race. It might well have been 009 at Le Mans. David Brabham entertained the crowd royally!

Maybe some of our work at projectlemans.de can help you with the Aston Martin DBR9: http://www.projectlemans.de/content/view/2469/83/

Updated version of my DBR9 excel sheet:

It's 100% correct I think, because the numbers 5 and 8 don't exist or am I wrong?

Interesting that they sold the first chassis onto Larbre Racing. Also that having got to chassis 9, they then started numbering from 101. Can't be that they are just customer cars surely, given where some of the earlier cars have gone?

I wonder if we can identify who was driving which chassis in 2005?

Yes indeed, the Private teams have cars with chassis numbers above/higher the 100. And only BMS & Larbre (official semi factory teams) have the permission of having those cars with cassis numbers under the 100 it seems. That number 102 off Capuava Racing/Famili Diniz is a potential guest entry for FIA GT next year in Mil Milhas D'Interlagos!

The DBR9/1 car is owned by Frederic Dor... not Aston Martin or Larbre.

The DBR9/4 car entered by Team Modena would first be build to race as a factory car. But they didn´t managed to get a team for that car.
And after that the car goes to a uk based collector.

The car owned by Frederic dór is chassis 101 instead of 1. It is driven under the name of Modena racing this season.

The information about the DBR9/1 is from CARE itself. Look at the pictures of the car and you´ll find a little sticker CARE RACING DEVELOPMENT.
The information about the DBR9/101 is from the website of the team: www.teammodena.com

If you´re interested i can send you also the picutres of every number plate.

Thanks, that's good solid info on 9/101 on the Modena site, but .... ' It first hit the LMES series in July 2005, already with an excellent 2005 championship season behind it, having won in September at the Nurburgring ....... ' is a bit confusing. Surely it should be ' and has already had an excellent 2005 season ....etc'. . I'm guessing that July 2005 was the first time it hit the tracks because before that surely only the works Prodrive cars DBR 9/1 & 2 had raced up to then? 2005 was the first year that the DBR9 raced, wasn't it?

Do you have pictures of each car to go with the pictures of the chassis nos. panoz.lmp1? If so are you prepared to post them here. I really feel that the DBR9 is close to having its own thread.

Just checked the chassis info from the Le Mans 24 hours of 2006 and it says the Aston Martin DBR9 driven by Brabham/Piquet/Garcia was the DB9/107.

How weird is that...

I've come across this (can anyone lend me a few quid?):-

http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/...hp/carno/14395

Now this has not been raced but appears to be ex works rather than a customer car, so could this be DBR9/5 or 9/8?

Who can give the true inside for 2007:

FIA GT nr. 17 : Barwell Motorsports = DBR9/#106

FIA GT nr. 23 : BMS = DBR9/#9
FIA GT nr. 33 : Jet Alliance = DBR9/#103
FIA GT nr. 36 : Jet Alliance = DBR9/#105

ALMS nr. 63 + LMS nr. 59: Modena Racing = DBR9/#101
LMS nr. 50 : Larbre =

All confirmed as correct; I checked them at the end of the the FIA GT race at Silverstone last Sunday (6 May). These pics taken during qualifying on Saturday afternoon. Chris Needell of Barwell told me that 106 was ex ALMS car which rather confused me, as I thought that until this year only Prodrive cars had contested that:-
