3000proseries
Does anyone know anything about this championship, apart form it is in Italy, is it linked to F3000 Italia that Giancarlo Fisichella is involved in with his own team?

It is not linked to the F3000 Italia series, which starts this weekend, but is run as a rival series using the Lola T99/50 chassis, Zytek engine and Avon tyres.
First race was at the weekend and was won by Timo Lienemann - details at www.formula-3000.net/2005_i01_index.php |

Stranger's line-up for F3000 Italia should be a pretty good summary of the confirmed/rumoured drivers so far:
http://home.planet.nl/~caat0016/lineup2005.htm#f3kit I agree it's crazy that there are two F3000 championships in Italy - between them they could have made one very strong national championship, much like the old series in its stronger years. There are some very good GP2/FIA F3000/Euro 3000 teams in the two championships. Last edited by jondownunder; 12 Apr 2005 at 22:01. |
