what does it take for both drivers to finish the same race? a reliable car - good drive by jimmy, bad luck again for scotty dixon
lots of points missed in the last 2 weeks because of scotty's dnf's while in top 5 positions.... |

Mrs. Fields Pies Crayola Team of Audacious Brazilians Stalked by Groundhogs but Come Through
Two of the three drivers of our team had a wonderful race on Sunday, and the third had his race ruined by groundhogs. Lead driver Bruno was stalked by the large furry beasts, having two of them cross the track in front of his car at different times (or maybe the same one twice.) It is suspected that the weird pit stop made by Cristiano might have been caused by the need to check a zoology book after Bruno referred to the animals as "squirrels". Driver Tony Kanaan had an excellent race and was so upbeat at the press conference that it was suspected that he'd been into the pies early. "Finally I get a break!" he shouted from the podium, and was seen later on by members of the team, gathering up confetti for a later celebration. "We will throw confetti to the crowd if we finish another race on the podium," said Kanaan. "And I will look up some more good words to use in my talk, that my mechanics might not know. My mom has called and said not to use the Lord's name in vain any more. She taught me better than that." The team now move on to Denver, where Cristiano and Bruno will be scouting the track to be sure there are no wild animals around before they go out on the track. |

Domenech Racing PR
Bad luck keeps Domenech from scoring high Both Carpentier and ServiÃ* were destined to score points before being belied by mechanical problems. Jimmy Vasser saved the day for the team but we definetely could have been much higher |

*******CROOKS MOTORSPORT*******
UNLUCKY! Tora in third place until a pit lane speeding penalty stuffed things, and the the car died , that could have been his first podium, first podium for a Japanese driver, and Walker's first podium since '99.........and it would have been the fist time a Crooks Motorsport driver has been on the podium for quite some time, ah well... Both Michel and Mikeal scored well-ish.... with lots of hard charger points in there too since both started right near the back ......again...... Honda did well with 1st, 3rd, 4th, 8th, 9th and 12th, none of them blowing up! Crooks Motorsport is now barely in the lead, with only three points in it with Team DBR International, looking forward to a good fight Alain Menu finally doing well in DTM... |

THANK GOD FOR TONY
Tony Kanaan continued his mid-season resurgence with an outstanding 3rd place in Montreal. Tony ran a different strategy to most cars, pitting with then-race leader, Cristiano da Matta. It worked for Kanaan, allowing him to get room to put in times that would see him climb through the field. A late race scrap with Jimmy Vasser and Paul Tracy saw Big Nose come out on top. "That was fun, the car didn't turn to ****, and it didn't break down - this is fantastic! I love it. Now I just need a win." Tony Kanaan was Pineapple's only real result in the race. Teammates Oriol Servia and Alex Tagliani both suffered severe car problems. Servia was forced to retire again after running well all weekend. "The 2 most important times of the weekend are qualifying and the race - and in both of those our car broke. I guess we're very consistent." Hometown hero Tagliani was running well early until a move on Vasser at the hairpin came unstuck when Vasser dodged to the inside. After that Tags' car began a long slide of ****ness, as Alex explained: "First we lost a cylinder, then third gear, then we lost another cylinder, then first, second and fifth gears, then the turbo stopped, then we lost another three cylinders, then fourth gear, then the CV joints broke, then the right rear suspension collapsed, then the front left suspension collapsed, then the floor came loose, then the seat broke, then a crack appeared in the side of the tub. By the end of the race, the crack went from the engine cover to the front suspension. I managed to cruise around for 11th. As I crossed the finish line, the front right wheel fell off and the gearbox fell out." Pineapple Racing will continue their fightback in Denver next week for the inaugural race on the Colorado street track. Team owner, mac believes the team can still win the championship: "I still believe we can win the championship." P. A timely return to form for team ILP Racing. After a few bad results individually and teamwise, both drivers did a sterling job to complete a 1-2. Hopefully now we can begin chasing the title again which we losyt our grip on mid-season.
