Layout of Qld Raceway changed for 500 ?

Just looking at the track map in Auto Action and turn 2 for the track has some sort of chicane thing leading up to it now ?

Can't be... no, check again... see!

It's a bit of batter! Flick it away... and that greasy bit of chip, too, and you'll see it all clearly...

They hate making correct maps, don't they? The AVESCO one is closer, but the turn in the middle is wrong...

As for what "Fishwrappers Fortnightly" have done... well, it could be anything, but clearly it's not the chips or the grease!

i reckon they should add the chicane. It would add another overtaking opportunity, and some interest to the circuit.

Oh, yes, a braking area there would really sort the men from the boys... and give some biffing opportunities... which of course we don't want.

It would be locked inside wheel city, a great test for the men.

...and buy some discarded beams from some old bridge on the now-replaced Pacific Hwy between Brisbane and the Coast and include an overpass...

The map in AA was the original plan of the track, and it was circulated around until some fine tuning was done to it. How it got in, I really don't know.

Ray- Now now...AA comes out weekly these days And by the way, the AVESCO map wouldn't be too far wrong, turn 4 is tighter than turn 5...but why the media center is the biggest landmark at the track, i don't know. We may be dumb, but we can smell out free food and drink without a dodgy map with a dot

Hitting some nails on the head here, Crash!

Lemme see... Womens Weekly is now monthly, right? Appropriate enough, but it's still called the 'Weekly'... no matter where you go. So the traditional name for Auto Action should stand unchanged despite its reaction to the opposition.

As for the food and drink... well, you're showing your true colours here, and I would be joining you!

Well, I've only once seen a correct track map of Oran Park. They always get the run onto the bridge wrong.

Ditto with Lakeside, the closest is the map from the proposed renovations, which you'd hope would be correct...

Also, the track has actually been changed, there is now a burnout pad on the infield near the first turn.

Don't go there....we were following them home the other night, and there was too many of them to fit in their people mover, so one bloke was crouched over in the boot, with out a seat....shame shame shame...
