2007 Driver Line-Up
I was looking @ photos from yesterday's testing @ Barcelona & I was surprised to see Mark Webber in Red Bull overalls. In addition to Mclaren officially announcing Lewis Hamilton's position what's else in going on in the wonderfull world of F1?
What's next season's driver line up looking like? |

It's pretty much all done, bar one seat.
Ferrari: Raikkonen and Massa Mclaren: Alonso and Hamilton Renault: Kovalainen and Fisichella Honda: Button and Barrichello Williams: Rosberg and Wurz BMW: Kubica and Heidfeld Toyota: Schumacher and Trulli Red Bull: Webber and Coulthard Torro Rosso: Liuzzi and Speed (I think this has been confirmed at least) Super Aguri: Sato and Davidson Spyker: Albers and ????? |

Montiero will probably keep his seat next year due to backing. To add to that, ive heard the team are more confident with his development data than Albers. |

Super Aguri seem to be signing a title sponsor, as they are down on the entry list as "TBA Super Aguri F1 Team".

The numbering is irrelevant. It does not reflect anything.
I seem to recall Kimi being number 6, to DC's 5 in 2004 for example. I think Alonso was similar in relation to Trulli as well. Not to mention Barrichello numbered lower than Jenson this season. It means next to sod all, unless the number 1 is on your car. |

Anyone notice the fact there's apparently 23 drivers? haha
I gave it a close read, and they've forgotten a number... Oh dear. Selby |

Nobody uses number 13, for superstitious reasons.

Barrichello wanted the 11 as I believe it was a lucky number from his karting days, actually.

I think, as kipper said, the team that is due to run numbers 14 & 15 can request to run 13 & 14 instead.
But it is unlikely anyone would want to....it sounds silly probably, but why tempt fate? |

It's not just the number '13' that is considered unlucky. For instance the number '4' is considered to be unlucky by the Japanese!

Yes, there was a lot of fuss made prior to 2005 because Sato was running #4!
