Foyt to Switch to Chevy???
There was an item in last weekend's Indy Star that AJ Foyt has been talking to Chevy about switching to the Bow Tie boys' power starting this weekend at Kentucky...
Don't know it it can happen that quickly, but that is what was reported... Let's see if it happens... A side note: AJ Foyt himself was clearing brush on his ranch over the weekend when he apparently hit a bee's nest and he was stung more than 200 times..... He was treated on-site but refused to go to the hospital.... apparently, he is OK....but probably not feeling very well... The last part is speculation on my part, but 200 bee stings would not exactly make you chipper... |

And he's not exactly the most chipper fellow to begin with...
I have to say that it's wierd if true. What is the advantage to Chevy to have Foyt on board? It seems like it would be added costs with no promotional benefits. In fact it might be negative promotion to be seen with a car finishing 5 laps down. |

with his recent finishes, AJ has been paying for his engines, he figures he can spend the same amount to be more competetive with the Chevy than with the Toyota. This is also his way of trying to spite Toyota for giving him what he feels is a bum engine.

All it means is that Foyt IV will crash further up in the middle of the pack instead of the rear.

With a faster car Foyt IV can move over faster when he's in the way. But then again do you really need to make shotgun bullet faster.

And he did great, I think it was the best race of his crash-career. Now I wonder if A.J. be ahead of Ryan Briscoe in the points standings at the of the year ?? I think he will be

Foyt IV is a lot better driver than the results he's had. Too bad he has be stuck with junk equipment for so long. He seemed to run a lot better with the Chevy engine at Kentucky, hopefully he can keep it up.
