York City Racing to change name?
As John Batchelor says he has reliquished all control at York City and the Supporters Trust have agreed a deal with the administrators to own the club, presumably he will now wish to remove the YCFC name from his racing team?
Hope so, frankly. These last twelve months under John have been a nightmare for the local football community in York, full of half truths and broken promises, debt and administration. Anyone hear anything about a new name? Persimmon Racing maybe? |

The team isn't even confirmed as racing as yet, and in this game names are generally dependent on company name and/or title sponsor name, so who knows what they'll be called.
Personally, I'm very happy that the Supporters' Trust has control of York City, and I genuinely hope they are able to do a better job of managing a difficult situation than John Batchelor. The last year has been a nightmare for you, but to be honest and fair, you haven't exactly made it easy for us either. I am sincerely hoping that the York City supporters, passionate though they undoubtely are, will now leave this peaceful motorsport community alone. A large proportion of the members of this site don't even know about the BTCC, or care. Of those who do, only a tiny minority are involved with John or the team. It is unfair for you to use this place for your own personal agendas, and disrupt our lives. Perhaps this would be a good time and place to end our mutual "association", hopefully amicably, and put the last year behind us. Can we close this topic, and issue, now please? |

Believe me when I say nothing ends here, we still want our 400k back that Persimmon gave him, so if you attend croft next year, prepare for a mini invasion!!

Yes, you were polite, but as for the other contributors to the thread, sadly they don't have as much respect.

I don't think this thread is going anywhere constructive, so it's getting locked.
