Any info on that?
Hey folks!
Do you know of any German driver(s) for the Bathurst 1000 this year? I know there were rumors regarding Stuck and Reuter... any news on that? cheers |

Hi there, and welcome to the V8 forum!
To be honest, just about everything has been filled up- there might be one spot left at Briggs, but I'd say a local will probably wind up in it. Would we be a better chance for teh 24hr on the 16/17 November? |

Ditto CT's warm welcome to the forum |

Thanks... I think it's a shame that no DTM-Opel drivers will race for a Holden team.. I mean Menu has Mountain experience and Reuter too...

I agree, it's a pity more international drivers aren't making the trip, by my count there is only gonna be 3, Priaulx and Muller in the 2nd Kmart car, and Cleland in the OzEmail car.
It's a shame more didn't get a go, 3 is pretty pathetic, there was a time when only 7 international drivers was considered poor. I'll probably cop a caning for this, but some the so called young guns who will get a top ride either don't deserve it or will put it in the wall. |

Racer, i agree, the so called young guns are usually a pretty good bet to stuff a $250 000 car into the scenery and it is a shame to see them out there when older, experienced, talented drivers sit at home and watch it on TV because they haven't got the money to buy a ride. But team managers are willing to keep throwing kids at the Mountain because they want to be the man responsible for the next Lowndes at Bathurst '94.

Maybe the international driver will start coming over when they let the new makes in the series.

Assuming they do let new makes in, it probably won't make much of a difference to overseas drivers. A good start would be for other series not to have race meetings on that weekend.
