NEW item

Hi Folks,
A new item that works the same way as ready meals you buy from the supermarket. The idea of this product is it will be colour coded blue(powder), Cream(AFFF) etc and this will save carrying those heavy extinguishers.
When you arrive and there is a fire you take the cardboard sleave off and make a few pricks in the film cover and then throw this into the fire.
This will then release (depending on the amount of holes made) quickly or slowly and release powder, foam etc.
Its is called "AF1-4 Readyfire Out" (Proper product name has not been thought of yet)
Lets wait and see!!!!!
RS

Yes dear, of course.
I'll put them on the shelf next to the tartan paint, the metal sparks and the box of holes.

Sounds a bit like the new chemical the yanks came up with a few years ago to put out fires. It's potentially highly combustible as it's made of oxygen (needed for fires to happen) and hydrogen (highly inflammable). They were playing down those concerns and were going to market it under the name "Wonderful And Total Extinguishing Resource".

That was just a cover-up to divert attention from the fact that it was actually dihydrogen monoxide, a substance known to be fatal if inhaled in large quantities.

Richard - these sound brilliant, but can you advise whether the AFFF is dehydrated & if so, how much water needs adding to the packet?

was tempted to ask for names when you said it needs a few pricks, but decided to be nice today
