Autpsport web GT500 season review part.2 Toyota
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/654528?all *Supra's breakthrough was supported by the aerodynamic straightness derived from the shape of the base model and the introduce of rake angle. *Unlike the LC500, the aerodynamics of the supra are the same as the results of the wind tunnel test and CFD. *As you can see from the appearance of the lateral duct, Supra's drag was low, so Fuji's straight line speed was overwhelming. *Kazumoto Yuasa (TRD engineer) says that straight line speed in Fuji was advantageous and high rake in Suzuka worked well, but stop-and-go Motegi struggled. High rake concept did not work well at the low speed corner Motegi. *As for engine development, Takahiro Sasaki (TRD) says that in terms of engine, they struggled with Motegi, where drivability is important. If Okayama was the opening round as usual, they could have noticed the lack of drivability. This year is Fuji, Fuji, Suzuka, and Motegi, so it wasn't until the 4th round that they noticed any engine issues. Moreover, in the 4th round, the fuel restrictor was applied in bad weather, so the original lack of drivability was hidden. *Yuasa says Toyota may change the downforce drag ratio towards 2021. |

Team Cars Tokai is a team created because Kazuho Takahashi (team owner) himself wants to race, so I think this result is unavoidable.
I think it was a reward from Takahashi to Kato that Cars Tokai participated in SGT this year. |

Autosport web is reporting GT300 silly season rumors.
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/656264?all *There is no big difference in entry team numbers between 2020 and 2021. *A team returns with German car. *There may be changes in participation team toward 2022. *The number of JAF-GT vehicles may increase toward 2022 (Nissan 400Z? 2021?). *There seems to be a newly manufactured vehicle (BRZ GT300?). Super happy to see Subaru going on with this project. I always feel sorry for them having less coverage than GT500 teams, as they are real 4th manufacturer in constructors' battle, they bring a real variety to the field. And their R&D reports are fruitful. All the best wishes to them.

Gutted about losing the Lotus, but good news from Subaru with the new BRZ. This year they had a pretty good run all things considered. I guess the old EJ is finally on the way out?

Hideto Yasuoka tweets on Lexus' withdrawal from European GT3 market.
He says Nissan set a bad precedent that it would be advantageous to compete for GT3 only in Japan. (There is a rumor that Nissan GTRs have an advantage in SRO-BoP because they don't compete in European race.) https://twitter.com/hidetoyasuoka/st...47067111231489 |

They had pretty awful qualifying pace this year. If they can fix that come next year, a 4th title is not out of their way.

Not surprised by the lineup because there's no other choice than these two.

Latest Autosport magazine reports GT300 tire war.
In the article, it revealed the open secret that Yokohama supplies two kind of tires. Yokohama supplies bespoke-specific tires to teams participating in the tire development test, and customer-specific tires to teams that cannot afford to participate. |

No.
Other tire manufacturers supply special tires to everyone because the number of supply teams is small. However, Michelin supplies spec tires for GT3/GTE as a manufacturer policy to prevent excessive competition in GT300. |

According to Autosport web,
Naoki Yamamoto (#100) says the fuel alert didn't work because Honda had canceled engine-related alerts in the final round. And it was not informed to drivers. https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/657657?all |
