[FV8SCSR07] Oran Park Fujitsu Series Final!
Can Mr Owen continue his run of top 5 finishes to take the title?
Or will Mr Canto lead from the front, and create a contest? I would say Mr Owen is too far in front... but a mechanical failure, a scratch on the toy... and everything may change. Mr Owen to win the title, if not the round The 2 hot Tasman cars (i.e. not Mr Bergmuller) to be VERY quick.... but not win either... |

To be correct
Steve Owen needs to finish 12th or better in race 1. He will be champion. |

no i think Jose deserves another go he hasn't hit everything yet, he needs to hit the safety car, although he does need to get close to it and not cause the safety car session to actually have a chance of doing that so no he can sit it out!

He is the class driver and has the best prepared car in the field. Scott and the crew should be very proud of what they have achieved and Steve has a lot to thank them for. He will romp away with the title. |

I think Steve has the championship wrapped up already, if a scratch or a dnf on the car was to strike, he has a big enough points buffer back to Canto so it wouldnt really matter.
Canto on the other hand, needs to basically drive to impress if he wants another Main series drive next year..... Pro.. I like your way of thinking.. hmmm one wonders if I should agree to such rubbish Phase III, Im not holding me breath.. anything with JF shouldnt be taken seriously untill you see it!! Oh how mean I am.. |

Wouldn't be surprised to see Owen take it easy just to maintain the lead. Canto will probably be the opposite. I'll say Canto takes the round win

The ad in AA for Mr Owen's VZ is interesting... says the car is available at Oran Park.. does that mean before, or after, the series is won by the driver?
Or has 'Gidget' made it out to play? |

Maybe the VZ is for sale to make way for the step into the main game? Might be the only way to keep the sponsor and the driver? Sillier ideas have been floated.

IIRC the VE is available in FV8's next year so could be just upgrading.

Also in AA there was a ad from TDR advertising for a driver with "a suitable budget" for the 09 Fujitsu Series.. Seems interesting considering Dave Reynolds is 3rd in the same car that won the series last year.... Does this mean that they will run entirely the same car next year??
I think this is going to be a good indicator of who is Championship material next season, if Steve Owen and Dean Canto get Main Game drives. and Pro, IRCA are rumoured to be going Ford next year......which leaves.... nup doesnt matter.... |

Well it's roughly a week out from the round and yet again VESA have no entry list out... will it be another one of those rounds where you have to wait till Prac Results?...
Should be interesting to see if our mate TBA pops up again.... |
