Spa road accident
Sadly I have learnt that historic racer Martin Walford has been involved in an RTA en route to Spa. He is ok, but needed 48 stitches, and Dean Butler and another companion also needed stitches.
The transporter, which contained Martin's lovely ex-Arundell Lotus 22, and I believe, the Allard JR, both cars Goodwood Revival winners, are all badly damaged. It is thought they hit a stationary unlit car on the Autoroute at night in Belgium. The car wasn't on the hard shoulder. That's all I know, and I'm off to Scotland for a week so won't be able to post more, sorry. |

That's very bad news indeed, but we can all be thankful that the injuries were no worse. Great shame about the damage to the cars.
