Schumacher to Cup?

Now there's a rumour floating around that Michael Schumacher was offered $10 million to drive the road course races next year. No real details though. You can check out the sites below (scroll down a ways). Doesn't seem likely to me since he's said in the past he doesn't want to drive stock cars. Maybe if the money was enough though...

I dont think he has any shortage of money! So 10million wont change much! And if he turned Audi (with an offer of 12million) down for a Le Mans seat its unlikely he'll race stock cars!

I get the feeling rumors on Shumi will go on for a few years to come.

Crazy rumours!

Would be great if it happened, but Michael came out with some pretty unfair comments against NASCAR recently so I doubt he'd even consider it.

His opinion might change once he's out of the F1 bubble and can finally sample and say things without worrying the sponsors.

He's a big fan of holidaying in the States so maybe he'll catch the NASCAR bug at some point? Doesn't seem likely though.

Schumi in the #29 Shell sponsored Chevrolet.

Besides Audi another one who's wants to have a chunk of the "Schumacher quits F1" media attention.

Schumacher in NASCAR, DTM, LM or any other series: FORGET IT!

I doubt he will stay completely retired for long. He's a pure racer and he won't want to sit idle for long. I don't see him going to NASCAR and it may not happen right away, but I imagine he will race again somewhere eventually.

You mean there are some people thinking he won't come back?

But I do echo what everyone else has said here, he's clearly doesn't like tin-tops. But in this topsy-turvy world, anything can happen. Hell, he won 7 world titles didn't he...

Erki has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I wouldn't be surprised if NASA offered SchuM a space shuttle seat.

Why not? I'm sure there's still some milage to be had with the Shell/Schumi rumourmill.

He'd go up in my view of him if he became a "good ol' boy" and did well.

I'm sure there would be a lot of people who'd think the same.
