Tiga 5 Litre Can Am, 1980-1982
Greetings,
I'm a newcomer here, and a bit unfamiliar with the lay if the land...they never invite the mechanics to the Driver's Meetings. I've been searcing for information on the topic above, which consists of exactly two chassis. All of the details I can share are posted in the Tiga thread in the Chassis History Archive Forum, so I'll not take your time by reposting them here. I was hoping to reach a few sets of eyeballs that may not regularly follow that Forum. If you can contribute information on this topic, it would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps tacking onto the existing thread in Chassis History would be the most appropriate place to do so, for the sake of continuity. Many thanks to Allen Brown for the archives he has established: they have been invaluable in providing some clues. I've added some firsthand insight, and now it's up to you to help in reconstructing the events that took place in the ensuing years. Thanks for your time, Andrew Bernstein |

Up with the wing, and out you go
Greetings Chief,
Thanks again for interceding on my behalf. The Tiga issue was somewhat obscure, so I wasn't sure how much help would surface. I've located both cars, and the history and research are included in the Tiga Chassis History Forum for those who might be interested. Post #56 and onward. I think it's an enjoyable read, and invite any contributions, comments, or insults to be attached to that thread. The McLaren post has me a bit baffled, as I expected a car like the one I detailed would generate some discussion. I don't have any personal stake in that car, but thought it would be nice to walk into the guy's shop with some factual information to add to their knowledge. C'est la vie. Andrew Bernstein |
