Marshal killed in crane accident at Canadian GP - Condolence

The FIA has announced that a Canadian Grand Prix marshal has died following an incident at the Montreal track on Sunday. |

I have been marshalling in Montreal this afternoon and this news is terrible. A truly great event that now means nothing. RIP and condolences to his family and friends.

It's always terrible to hear of such tragedies. Without the brave folk in orange no one could be on track, and they run the same risks as any of the drivers. My condolences are with the family, friends and anyone affected by this terrible occurrence.

A terrible accident and awful for all concerned.
I remember a similar case local to me back in the 60s and the crane driver never got over it although he was absolved from any fault at the inquest. |

What awful news. My thoughts are with our fellow marshals family, friends and the crane driver.
There should be a minutes silence for our fallen comrade at the next GP. |
