Club Formula Ford MS is set to continue for 2007. While grids were not huge in 2006 they were an improvement over the previous season's Star of The Midlands and MSV Formula Ford championships.

I wouldn't expect anything vastly different - certainly not a lot more Brands Hatch. Snetterton will probably feature less, and Rockingham may come in. I would like to think they would go to Donington, but I wasn't given that positive a tone when I questioned the CM about that.

Swapping Snett out for Rockingham should be a major step forward, although not a lot of use to the couple of Kent-based FF people.

That should get prospective drivers rushing to submit their entry forms for the new season. Are the Brscc using Kimi Raikonnen's PR advisors?

May be they could double the number of Brands rounds ie have 2 ! Both on the GP circuit obviously!!

Would like to try Rockingham as never driven it and Donnington was always a favourite of mine.

Hi John,
Hope all is well with you,
I have a new car for next season, i have recently purchased an RF99 from John Miller and i hope to get out on track soon - just need sunshine and a license!

Do you plan to join the series for a few races this season?

Adam

When I spoke to Diz before Christmas he said that MS dates looked quite good with a trip to Rockingham and Donington as well as the usual Mallory and Silverstone but still only 1 race at Brands but like people have said no Snetterton

I might have got that wrong. I was hoping for a Donington, didn't mean to say there was one.
If I was a gambling man, I'd go for 2 Mallory double headers, 3 Silverstne {2 Nat, 1 Int}, a Brands and a Rockingham.
Also word is that quite a few cars have been acquired for MS use.

Much as what I was guessing, though maybe they'll gp to Rockingham twice or poss keep a Snett date.

Nice.....

Yes will do selected rounds again this year can't afford to do a full championship so stick to what I know without testing except for may be Rockingham fancy a crack at that. Plus any SEMSEC races at Brands or MSVR.

Well worth a trip, a very underrated track IMO, although sadly not quite as good now they've taken the big balls chicane out.

Sounds good. I'd like to do a few races at Mallory this year as well as Castle Combe. Double headers would more than make it worth the trip up to Mallory.

Agreed. It is ill thought out and badly constructed press releases like that that really don't help instill confidence in the series.

I can't believe your even discussing this website.

After Kevin put your championship fee's up last year to pay for the website that....oooh he did and updated approx 3 times throughout the whole of the year.

Why even bother reading it ??

And why after the big 3 updates of last year are you not going nuts that your fee was doubled for that service ?

OK, I'll apologise for starting this thread.

I only spotted it because it was on the front page, and i went to the site in error as I was looking for the new ff1600news one.

sorry John, I wasn't having a go, I just found it hard to understand why your even taking whats on that site as remotely factual/up to date.

But I also find it hard that no-ones mentioned that your fees where put up for this.....and this is what you got....

Good point

What happened to cranks, fly wheels, driver weights, tyre limits etc etc?

Obviously all regestered Formula Ford drivers were asked to fill in a questionaire. I must have missed it.

disgrace !

same pictures, same text etc etc.

He's just change the number 2006 to 2007, click on the 2007 news - take you to the 2006 news which I only meant as a joke, was only actually updated 3 times, I didn't realise I was so close to the mark.

Perhaps a comment to the BRSCC that your fees where moved from £50 to £150 (from memory) and this is what you got !

One of the reasons I didn't join the BRSCC was the fee increase and I was dubious about what I'd get for it, a year on and what did you get for it, was it warrented ?

Look at what castle combe have done.

Given start money to drivers, launched a new website to name two thing,

Now they have employed a journo to write for it to give better quality and value for the same fee.

Kevin increased your fees, knocked up a website himself, didn't update it.

I know I'm picking on the website aspect only - but that was because this was one of the main reasons I was told the fee was increased.

The registration fee being zero of course as its included within the £95 club membership fee.

I actually enjoy the track also - although was frustrated with the 'big balls chicane' in particular as all the National FF guys straight line it by taking to the grass with all 4 wheels. It only seems to gain them about 1-1.5 seconds though over those of us stupid enough to only use the kerbs! They couldn't enforce the chicane it seems so I think it makes racing fairer now the track layout is changed. The long track that I think they are using now is much better than the one we raced on this year.
