What's the worst F1 TV coverage you've ever seen?
Has to be Malaysia 2002.

France 2004.
When the graphics came up for the race positions I was stunned to see Alonso actually wasn't the only guy in the race.... |

I guess we are talking actual feed, rather than the other stuff.
Both of those are a good case. The last race was a good example as the kept pulling away when there was something "juicy" (Brundle). I guess that this is the most infuriating thing - missing the action. The two above are worse than the last race, I think. |

Yep, France '04. Don't get me wrong, many other races have had abysmal coverage, but France this year found an all time low.

AB, this thread is about the quality of the TV coverage, not the actual race. They can't show interesting pictures when nothing interesting is happening on track.
France's director seems to do a poor job every year. |

Need to go back to the 70s,when the BBC failed to show the finish of a Dutch GP at Zandvoot, and switched to a Tom & Jerry cartoon!!

An irritating little mouse causing trouble every week and always getting away with it - isn't that just Bernie?

Worst coverage has to be france 2004, that was on the absolute cusp of oblivion. Though i have on hand many other races that were covered in appalling fashion. But i need to keep my blood pressure low, so I'll try not to think about them. *grits teeth* |

As others have posted, many races have had shocking Directors over the years.
But France 2004.......that was an absolute feckin' disgrace. |

If I remember rightly, the Hungary 2002 voerage was rather dodgy too. According to my memory, it pretty much just showed the two Ferraris running around the track alone for most of the coverage.
Not adequate, by a long shot. |

Well...any GP with a lot of slow motion scenes of Michael Schumacher dancing around the corners while leading the pack with a comfortable 20 second lead. It's as boring as it gets. It's not that it's MS. I just wish he had someone to dance with.

monza 2004 is only redeemed by the amazing use by james allen of the word "horlicks" during his commentary.
someone talk me through that if you can... |

British GP in 1982 was pretty appalling, Warwick running 2nd in Belgrano and they cut away to cricket.
That apart, France 2004 was beyond abysmal. |
