F3 question
i was just checking the fia website looking for the formula 3 regulations but there were nowhere to be found..
i wanted to check something that i heard last night: there is no indication in the regulations that you cant race a F3 car with a bike engine, has long has it has a 2500unit a year and 4cylinders... is this true or codswallop?  i dont belive it cheers

I don't know exactly.
If you want i have the complete Fia regulation for formula 3 somwhere... Anyway don't know how a bike engine can fit to Formula 3 purposes, cause F3 have to have a 26 mm restrictor for air intake, and bike engines normally runs at very high rpm with less torque on lower rpm.. |

The restrictor chokes at much above 6000rpm, so bike engines, which prefer the 9k to 13k rpm range wouldn't be very good. If you can find a low revving bike engine then it would probably suffice. Then you'd need to tune it a lot to get ~210-230hp out of it.
