MG EX257/Lola B01/60 AER

001 - The car was used by Intersport in the ALMS in 2002 from Sears Point Onwards. The car was damaged at Sears Point in 2003 and was returned to Lola for repairs. The car was then converted to use Judd power for the start of the 2004 season. The car was last seen for sale on e-bay at the end of 2004

002 - Car #34 at Le Mans in 2001, Car #26 at Le Mans 2002. The car return to the race tracks in 2004 and was used by RML in the LMES and at Le Mans.
RML still have the car and it was on display at the LMES round at Silverstone back in August of this year.

003 - Car #33 at Le Mans in 2001, Car #27 at Le Mans 2002. The car was retained by Hugh Chamberlin, who entered it at Le Mans 2003, but the entry was not accepted. Later in 2003 the car was used by Intersport in the AMLS at the Mosport, Road America, Laguna Seca and Miami, while 001 was being repaired. I'm not sure where this car is now, as far as I can work out it was return to Hugh Chamberlin after is stay in the ALMS in 2003.

004 - Car #30 at Le Mans in 2002 (Knight Hawk Racing), they also used the car in the ALMS. For the start of 2003 the car changed hands to Dyson Racing who raced the car until the end of 2005. The car is now with Autocon Motorsports who will use it in this years ALMS.

005 - The car has been used by Dyson Racing in the ALMS from the start of the 2003 until the end of 2005. The car is now Highcroft Racing, who will use it in this years ALMS.

From what I saw at Donnington, the only things in use for the similator are the EX257 body panels and wheels.

I am amazed there was only 5 built! and there is nothing of the original MG Xpower team cars, they have all been upgraded...I thought there would have been a lot more but I guess not! I am a massive MG Fan with a couple of old cars and am so suprised there was just 5 cars

Mike Newton is currently trying to sell some of his old cars, this includes both MG-LMP002 and MG-LMP003. More information can be found at:- http://www.rml-ad.com/news/news2011/...llection01.htm

It is interesting to see that these cars now popping in historic racing.

Mike Newton has been racing 002 in various events over the last couple of year.

Christian Glasel is also using one in historic races (I think it's Chassis 004) winning at Spa this weekend.

I am not sure what has become of the rest of them I know that Mike Newton had 003 and it was for sale for while a couple of year ago but that car has been sold.

I also believe that one the cars in in the Museum at Mondello Park (That is more than likely 001).

Lionel Boch raced an MG EX257 over the weekend at Le Mans Classic. The car was in the 2002 Hot Wheel's livery I think this may have been chassis 003.
