I don't see why this story is posted in the Australian forum, especially as peckstar points out, they haven't copied the V8SC model.

For a V8 Supercar model.........sold back as a nominal fee, then offered to the winning Development Series Team for the same nominal fee - or if that team is already in the main game, offered to the next best finishing team that isn't.

Back when they were franchises, not RECs, the top 25 in a season were automatic entries into the next season's series.

And the bottom 3, and any more beyond that if there were more L1s & L2s laying around, were supposed to provide justification to a V8SC board committee to demonstrate financial, technical & operational strategies to improve performance, to be sustainable.

Somehow the Kelvinmonster didn't get that one to work...
