Not a time for super sarcasm so just a 7. Considering only the F1 bit of the race weekend and giving points for an intriguing race at the front and lots of battles down the field.

A popular win for sure, I enjoyed watching Albon make his way through the field during the second half of the race.
Gutted to see Norris stationary with a lap to go, was a solid and uneventful drive from him. An enjoyable race, if not marred by the events of yesterdays F2 race. |

Shame the GP wasn't have been held under better circumstances, otherwise not a bad a race to start off the second half of the season. Good to see Leclerc finally get his first GP victory. It looked like there were some good battles mid-field but the TV director hardly gave them any coverage. 7

This GP was a solid 8 grade race. It had most of the traits of a good race, sans Villeneuve vs Arnoux style duel perhaps.

What more do you want? Grand stand finish, debut win, amazing battles throught the field. The cars looked awesome around there even when they were on their own. The Albon pass on Ricciardo was awesome. 9 from me.

8. There were passes being made all through the field and the final few laps were interesting. Can't take anything away from Mercedes they seem to be able to minimise errors and losses better than others. Great drives from Albon, LeClerc and of course Norris. Even Stroll was feisty.

8 for me too. Lots of good racing throughout the field and throughout the race. All climaxing with a "will he? won't he?" last few laps.
The tragedy of the F2 race casts a pall on the weekend, but let's face it, in this sport fans and drivers alike are hard-hearted bar stewards. One moment we're appalled at a senseless loss of life doing something so superficial and non-essential. Then the helmets go on, the lights go out, and we forget everything but the race in hand. |

Hmm,
I understand your point but I think Andrew Benson puts it better. https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/49537765 |

A seven from me.... I enjoyed the race, happy to see a Leclerc win and equally happy for Albon who put in some great passes.
