It did the year before last . Dyson raced one alternitivly when they were running the R&S MM.3C . Then they decided to race the MG the following .
The Crawford was a nice looking car too , shame !!!

If the car could purchased cheaply enough, I think it could be develpoed into a contender with a Judd motor in LMP1

yeah they ran the crawford towards the end of the 02 season, I think it might have made it to ALMS had they not bought the MG lola.

Dyson gave crawford its only victory so far.

OK, slight correction. The Crawfords that ran in GA were actually not true Dyson efforts. I'm not sure of the actual details, but from what I understand, it was an arrangement between Chris Dyson, Weaver and Crawford. While the car carried the Thetford and Norcold sponsorship, Rob Dyson was not at the races, and neither was Dyson crew cheif Pat Smith. The full Dyson crew jumped back into the GA fray at Phoenix with two R&Ss. The Crawford was never in Dyson's ownership, and was essentially leased for the three(?) races that Weaver and Chris ran in '02. It was obviously a great help to Chris' driving development, as he couldn't keep the car on track at Homestead, yet he was able to dice with Didier Theys at VIR. Crawford's next victory should come sometime this year with the amazing Andy Wallace at the wheel, but he's gonna have to work.

I remember the Crawford at VIR....

I also remember Chris Dyson spinning the car a couple of times in the race, but it was raining buckets that year at VIR....

The announcers on Speed said that the Crawford was not as good in the handling and grip departments as the R&S MkIIIA...

That older R&S was supposedly a very forgiving and very driveable car....

Don't blame the chassis for Chris' off-road excursions at Homestead...

Right, the Crawford was not Dysons car, from what I understood they drove it for Mr. Crawford to help him out with his new car.

They drove it at VIR and Mt. Tremblant the car was orange and white with the standard dyson livery, at homestead it was blue and white standard dyson.

The car also ran at the 24hrs of daytona in 01 with Jan Lammers, Tony Stewart and Johnny Molem as a factory effort. It finished 46th.
