Vitaphone invitation, should the Mazza be at LM?
What does everyone think, should the Maserati be at LM now that Vitaphone is invited? Just a yes or no answer with (if you want) your suggested solution (Aco bends the rules, maserati cut off those 3 cm, whatever)

If there are run as restricted as in FIA GTs why not? Clearly they will run away with it and they would provide variety that we all love

I think if Maserati want the glory of Le Mans they can pull the finger out and build a car that abides to the rules...no special rules just because of who they are...

I say let the car run.
It didn't set the world on fire in the ALMS. |

Considering all of the controversy about the ACO rules I say no.

How about the controversy of the ACO screwing them over in the first place?

I say let the car race, as has been pointed out, the time the car was being made it was legal. It's only not legal now because the ACO changed the rules slightly.

I say it shouldn't be there because it's outside the rules. However, I would like to see it there because it's a spectacular car which would add some variety to GT1.

By the time the car appeared ready to race it was not legal. The rule change, if that was a problem, did not affect Saleen, Aston or Corvette they all somehow managed to stick within them.
It should not race, it never should have, if the ACO and FIA had stood togeather when it first appeared Maserati would soon have changed the car. |

Yes and NO, why, well rules are there for a reason, but some more GT1 cars would be awesome... Very hard question...

not really... when they bought the MC12 they did knew that it was "illegal" so why give them a chance when other teams like BMS or Larbre opted for a "regular" ACO spec car?
if this happens i think that many team which bought Chevys, Astons and Saleens would be quite a bit disappointed |

Yes for the variety, but ofcourse it really should be no... ACO just change the rules so every1 can make cars a few cm wider then every1's happy again... and we'll see widebody 'vettes and AM's :P

yes, it should come. Prototypes are allowed in LM, so I don't see why not
