New Single Seater seats

Does anyone know the best place to buy a new seat for a Royale RP32 (Formula Ford 2000) as mine is un-repairable.

Web addresses and Phone numbers please

Unfortunately as there is no regular driver a custom seat cant be made so we are having to go for a normal seat and will have to use padding

Why not make a custom seat for the tubbiest driver, and then pad for the lightweights then?

Or be really smart and make another moulded seat to fit inside the first one..

Basically we just need to replace the existing seat as its a university project car and therefore we do not have the budget to make a seat and we dont even have a driver as yet.

In that case, Alan Cornock at FCS?

Go to B&Q.

Get a large can of expansion foam. The type for filling holes. About £8 a can for nearly a 750ml aerosol.

Spray into a binbag. Driver sits back. Hey presto, one of the best and most comfy seats he'll ever have. One can will do at least 2 seats. Each driver can have his own seat and it costs less than foam padding........

problem with the spray one is it sticks to the side of the bag before you get it right to the bottom, and it reacts a bit too quick. Its not much more expensive for the 2 part stuff.

Just bill them for seat fittings then.............

The foam stuff is best as it really does make the seat part of you.

A mate of mine puts an old pillow behind him!!!!!!!!!!! Has done for years.........

yeah we have thought of doing the bin bag foam trick but as we dont have a driver yet its a bit difficult to do and we wont know whos driving till the test session which will be too late to make a seat.

We've just done one tonight. With the B&Q stuff. He had to sit there for about 30 minutes while it set, but as good as any other seat we've made. He was bored off his head though.

Is that the jokes that you post on hear. speaking of jokes, I've got some corkers for you......

Mr Mitchell actually. He is racing the ex-Richard Marsh VD'89 that I was in for the last round last year...He's done a deal with Dave for the first few races as he is having a mare trying to get his suspension sorted for the '87...

he was getting bored, more frustrated as he has a new lady friend that is, shall we say, a bit keen at the moment and she kept ringing him wondering what was taking so long...................

i didn't have the heart to tell him he could have left ages ago........LOL
