Alexander Wurz - Will we see him racing in F1 again?
I heard that he will be a McLaren test driver for a third season next year. I hope this is not the case because if it is we will probably never see him racing in F1 again.

Wurz can, technically, find a place in Sauber or Minardi.

I'd like to think he will, seeing as he joined Benetton when it started to decline thus he wasn't able to get results (in the last two seasons at least).
Like Badoer, he needs another chance. |

If Wurz was really that desperate to get back into F1, he should have taken a mid-field seat, impress there and then work his way into a top seat.
I think he's taken the easy option by staying at McLaren, and will fade further into obscurity. I think Panis was the exception when he impressed then got an F1 seat. |

Wurz will be driving a Mclaren at selected races next year if Bernie agree's to letting teams run 3 cars . He said that in a press conference at the Nurburgring .

I agree with Sato san - if a team can run three cars we will see him again. If not it's a case of out of sight, out of mind . . .

As a racing driver, his main objective should be being able to drive in races, and his career is effectively ended once he steps aside, no matter as a test driver. Having stuck in McLaren testing role for two and now three years, Alez has given up his charge as a racer. Instead he has chosen the easy way out--taking the cash and enjoy the comfort available in a top team--as a test driver. He has lost his will to drive in a race car.

What would you rather do, Drive a BAR in races or test for Mclaren with the chance of a third race seat on occaission?
I think the vastly underated Wurz took the best seat available to him. BTW Yoong Monty, Wurz has signerd with Woking for 2003, so its more than a rumour. |

Unless 3-car teams happen & he appears for McLaren, then I think there's not much chance of seeing Alex race in F1 now-I think he's fast approaching the point when he's spent so long as a test driver that he's no longer regarded as being in contention for race seats
