Bunman should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Help needed with Broadspeed photo's.

Good afternoon all.
I am trying to gather photographs of the "Esso Uniflo" Broadspeed GP2 Escorts raced in 1974, in particular the 1300cc BDH powered cars as I am just starting a build and need some photos to replicate the livery as close as possible to the original cars.
I have found 2 photo's from elswhere on this site but would be very grateful for any others people may have.

Many thanks
John

Hi John, the best pics of the Broadspeed 1300BDH cars I have seen for detail are in Robson's 'Ford in Touring Car Racing'. There is one of Vince W from r/h front quarter and a smaller of Gillian F-T's car from l/h front quarter. Vince's car is in the Uniflo livery. Both are black & white and none from the rear. Come to think of it don't often get shots from behind car, unless in paddock!

The pic of Vince appears again in 'British Touring Car Racing in Camera', also by Graham Robson.

Thank you for the info guys, I think the cars were Ermine white, I'm not sure about the Blue however? (Gentian). I need to know if the engine bay and interior was satin black or body colour and I could do with a close up of the side of a 1300 car to try and replicate the stickers/livery.

Clip Motorsport, great shots. Do you have the original pics I could buy copies of?
Regards
John.

John, I think that you may get more response from the History forum, so I'll move it there leaving the redirect in.

The picture in Robson's books of Vince W is almost side on and it is the '1300BDA' as it was called then. Vince himself may have some pictures- if you aren't fully sorted by end of August I will ask him- he should be at Mallory then.

Johan, sometimes I think you must spend far too much time looking for photos!

Love the first shot

There is a guy who used to work for Broadspeed back in the days who had those B/W photos. I did borrow them from his webalbum but I did not save the webaddress He lives in the US these days (what I can remember).

Fantastic info guys, most helpful indeed.
It certainly looks like the engine bay is satin black, I did wonder. The colour photo's have confirmed most of my sticker list, now I need to get some made.

Regards
John.

Hi John

I own & am currently restoring Vince Woodmans 1300 BDH Broadspeed Touring Car racer, I have loads of pictures & have made contact with many of the chaps that worked at Broadspeed at the time my car was being raced, in fact they are helping me put it back to it's original state when it was Raced in 1973!

If you would like some pictures i would be happy to email you some or if you have any i don't have i would appriciate a copy?

Kind Regards Paul

Hi Paul, thank you for replying. I will send a PM with my email address. I have been racing a Mk2 with a 1300 BDH in for 3 years now and decided I should put the engine back in a Mk1 where it belongs, hence the project.
It has taken a couple of years to find the right base car but now I have the right one it's all go.
Regards
John.
