Ear Defenders for Babies
Hi everyone,
This is my first post on the forum, so hello. I'm taking my 2 week old son to the Classic Team Lotus Festival this weekend and would like some advice on some decent ear defenders for him. Any suggestions? Cheers Paul |

My son just turned six-months-old.
Since his birth he's been to many motorsport events with the family. We've had him wearing Peltor's Kids Ear Defenders to good effect. He's even fallen asleep during some rather raucous racing! http://www.peltorkid.co.uk/Good luck! |

My son Jow uses the over ear things sold at most events. Usually around a fiver. One size fits all, pretty much.

Look for EN352-1 certification.
The Peltor ones as mentioned are good, or Edz Kidz. My kids have made do with totally uncool but certified and known-to-be-functional el cheapo Wickes and B&Q earmuffs at races since they were born. Proof here, qualifying at 2004 BTCC at Donington. That was in the old pit straight grandstand so it was pretty loud, and he slept through it. I've now broken three pairs of theirs whilst marshalling! |

We have always used Peltor Kids ear defenders (usually £15) since our 2 were very little.
Have every confidence. Have used them for the past 6 years with no complaints. |

Glad I spotted this thread, may have to take our 9 week old baby daughter to Croft this weekend for the BTCC. Missus got me tickets for my birthday, but as it's a bit last minute none of my usual motorsport companions can make it. The Old Man's busy so the Missus looks like she'll have to accompany and it's a bit short notice to get somebody to have the little one for the afternoon.

I went to a pilot's shop and got some children's size headphones.
