Radisichrox should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Who would have won the btcc in 94 w/o Alfa?

Who would have won the btcc in 1994 without Alfa there? Think carefully!

Easy choice there, Paul Radisich would have one easy. If there were no Alfa's there he wouldn't have been taken out at the first Thruxton meeting by Simoni going throught the Complex. This would have then given him more points than Menu after the last race of the year at Donington, Paul was just unlucky to develop a misfire on the warm up lap there and have to start from the pitlane.

Indeed! Also, He would have won more too. The only thing is, because we're assuming that Simoni is out of the picture, Menu would have won at the final round at Donington. Would the Rat still have enough to win? Help...

Alain Menu only beat Paul Radisich in to 2nd place by a matter of points. If Paul had of got the points for finishing 2nd at Thruxton beacuse of not being taken out by Simino then he would have won the championship by about 10 points.

Glad your happy about that as I've often thought the same thing, what if the Alfa's hadn't of been there. Paul would have been 1994 BTCC champion as well as 1993 + 1994 World Touring Car Champion along with 1994 Toca Challenge Champion.

I think it would have been better without the Alfa's as they bent the rules in there favour which is never really liked.

Yeah. Would we have had "Super Touring" without them? Or would someone come up with the idea of wings and splitters?

I think the BTCC was at it's best before the wings and splitters rules come in to affect, although 1996-97 was good with the 4wd Audi's.

No doubt it was at its best before alfa had to come in!

It's a bit of a silly thread, really (no offence intended). I mean its like saying who would have won the BTCC in 1996 w/out Frank Biela entering, or in '99 w/out Aiello. Tarquini desreved to win in '94. Ok, the Alfa was a good car, but Tarquini was the best driver that year.

People like to think what would have happened if the driver who won the title wasnt there...nothing wrong with it. But i would have to say that Alain Menu would have won the drivers title and Renault should have won the Manufacturers title

As much as I respect Menu as a driver, I do not think that him or the car was up to it that year. I just don't think he would have won that year, besides, he didn't nearly try as hard as Radisich or Tarquini. Menu in 1994, ehh . That just doesn't work in my brain. The car was not 100% championship material. In the years after it definetly was.

I know, but it's interesting if you think. You can have your opinion.
