I just recived an email newsletter saying Biante Model Cars/Auto Art. Part of the report
Quote:
So that means next year that all cars are going to be with Classic Carlectables. |

Yes I just read my email to, and a couple of things come to mind straight away,
1 It is a pity that they are pulling the plug on 07 models, must be getting to costly to produce. 2. Does VE$A want a bigger cut from sales, as the die cast models are a hot commidity at the moment. It is a shame. |

Yeah but Biante only had about 3 or 4 teams (Team BOC, HRT, Toll and WPS(?) ) while Classic had the rest of the V8 Teams.

So will they continue to make the Biante Classics range or will they stop selling altogether?

They said they will continue to keep production up on the classic range and improve it.

A bit of a shame this, I think Biante make some very good examples...
I hope Classic make all 31 or 32 cars available. |

I think it will be great to see a HRT car from Classics as there 1:18 scale models are fantastic. I purchased Will Davison's 1:18 scale V8 Telecom car and it looks awesome.

3-4 years ago, Binate were SOOO far ahead of Classic it wasnt funny...
Biante are still at that high level, but all you need to do is compare both 2003 Red monaro's. Classic make a far higher quality model now, and have a higher number of teams. I think a sensible decision - you're making next casts for 2-3 cars, and a potential 2-3 seasons... Fair call, if not a sad one. They pioneered some great cars! |

hmmm this is a good thing for us model collectors.
The circus (v8) might be getting to big for itself? Stooge biante is still the same just missing ine great great man. It not the same not seeing a pair of read shoes walking by at a race meeting. January 2 was a very sad day. |

good news, i don't think BJR ever changed to classic, they had Biante on their cars last year despite them being out of V8's IIRC.
