Free Ford Duratec engines!
Just had an email from the National Formula Ford co-odinators, Ford are giving away 10 free Duratec engines to the first 10 competitors who sign up for the 06 championship. They have priced the new engines at £4,400 incl ECUs but plus VAT.

Thats the retail price. Trade is still about £900 for just the engine I dont know how much the ECU and Loom are but they are good quality ones so I dont think they will be cheap.

Mackmot - are the you/professional teams converting their cars or running Zetecs and awaiting 07...? I assume both JLR & Jamun will be fully duratec'd up for next year...

I would think that Peter Dempseys best option would be Duratec and I think Richard Tannahill mentioned in DUbai he was going to do Duratec next year as well. I would expect 15 Duratecs on the grid with a number more zetecs adding up to a heathy grid.

Pete could do with getting in quick then and getting his free engine.
You not having a go Chris? I would have thought GULF would enjoy that..... |
