Renault to go rallying?

There must be lots of worries in renault f1 right now with the parent company thinking about going rallying.The given reasons are that peugot are getting awsome publicity from it's WRC success and renault realise that f1 comes a sad second in the buying public's mind.

While there is no suggestion of renault binning f1 alltogether ,any thought of 'taking the middle road' would be the worst possible scenario for the team.Content with mid grid so to speak.Personally i'd rather see them pull out than do that!!

Well, car manufacturers are like Japanese tourists with cameras. They always shift focus to something else every 5 seconds.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they binned the F1 project if it doesn't deliver withing the next 2-3 years or so.

I don't think, for one minute that Renaults intentions are to dump F1. I am, however, surprised that they are taking up WRC, after all, their reasons for going friday testing in 03 was because it was cheaper. (Among other things)

They must be confident that the can do both things.

That's the dumbest thing they could think.We can all see that renault are going to (at best) stay level in f1 in the next two years-but most likely they'll go downhill abit.If they really are thinking of doing both with their current level of commitment ,they're screwed
