SA's Arrows
Hi guys and gals
My first posting on this site and hope to use it often I heard about 4/5 months ago that Paul Stoddart was selling one of his Arrows to a private seller. How many Arrows did he have in total and how many have gone to SA? |

I believe that Paul Stoddart owned 5 Arrows cars, of these I don't know how many have been sold to private buyers or Super Aguri. However, in the case of Super Aguri, the prized aquisition is the intellectual rights to the designs as they have the facilities to construct their own versions should the need arise.

Is there actually any point in buying those cars? As a base for an F1 car perhaps, but the technical regulations for 2006 are totally different to what they were when the Arrows cars were driven.

if its a way to 'appear' at the first three races, then it does make sense to buy some cheap (in F1 terms!) cars and modify them the best that they can. If they can't fit 06 wing package and side crash structure to an existing car*, they shouldn't be in F1
*I'm sure i've heard that excuse somewhere before! |

Yeah, I suppose. Good job that the 107% rule won't exist then!

You may find that if Super Aguri ever appear on the grid (which at this point I give it a 50:50 chance) they may well give Midland a run for their money.

They might, but I don't expect Midland to be competitive either.
