Max unopposed
It is looking like (according to Autosport.com) that the FIA preseidential election will have only one candidate. http://www.autosport-atlas.com/news.aspx?id=47840&s=5
The deadline for candidates was 7th October. It seems Autosport has learnt that only Max will stand. This has not been confirmed. One siginifcant change is that not only will Max be elected, but a team will come with him as the job is too big for one man. These changes happened earlier in the year. I am a little surprised no one will stand against him, but I guess it indicates that no one is that bothered about him winning again. We'll see... |

I agree that it is probably a thankless task and not many (or any it would seem!) would want the job. However, this brilliant and intelligent man peaked some years ago and I certainly think he has been unimpressive this year. It is a shame that not a single genuinely suitable contender has appeared on the scene to inject some fresh blood into the role. I guess, it says it all really about the job and Max.
