How true it is, but there was a suggestion that he was braking early for one corner to mask the times.

I remember Nigel Roebuck reportinng at the time that MS found the Sauber (7th in 1997 WCC, with 16 points) a rather better car than his Ferrari (2nd with 102 points).
But then, Schumacher would say that, wouldn't he..? |

It was probably true in some aspects.
Eddie Irvine: 24pts Johnny Herbert: 15pts. Close enough for it to be unsuprising that some aspects of the Sauber were better. Last edited by Adam43; 17 Dec 2006 at 12:35. |

He wanted to try out the car and see if Fontana could have done a better job with it of holding up Villeneuve at Jerez

I must admit I had no idea about the early braking to raise his times.....fascinating really. |

Some of Michael's braking techniques (particularly on warm up and safety car laps) have left a lot to be desired! Did he test drive a Sauber,err....yes he did.*Nicely back on topic there I thought* |

that 1995 ferrari was a good one... had it got 1996´s V10 engine would probably had been a contender. The V12 was powerful, but lacked driveability and had too many failures (engine sensors, many times). and it was soooo beautiful...
