Half the field will be breathing a sigh of relief. The guy's fast but very wild, and has had more than his fair share of collisions this year. Maybe he can move in with Jaime Camara - the drivers would really be celebrating if he was gone as well.

The IndyCar Series is more worried that half the grid has already been exposed to it, and that there might be a small epidemic on their hands.

Can you imagine: "IndyCar Series race cancelled due to Mumps"...now that would be a headline.

I imagine most of the grid has been immunized. Certainly any driver raised in the US is.

Thats a bit of good luck for the other drivers out there judging by their recent comments.

I like Viso and his aggressive style. I hope that he gets better quickly so that he may return to racing.

My 18 year old son is just recovering from the mumps. Apart from looking like the Elephant Man for 4-5 days, he's now made a full recovery with no ill effects. It's isn't exactly bubonic plague.......

Ands its almost completely preventable, as the MMR vaccine has been shown to be 95% effective.
