944x19 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Champions?

How many drivers besides JV have won the CART championship, Indy 500 and F1 title, and are still young and capable enough to keep challenging?

Hasn't Montoya done...oh wait I forgot he blew it this year didn't he? Sorry couldn't resist. JV would have taken the title this year were he in a Williams!

Doesn't it seem sad that drivers like Fisichella, Coultard, Barrichello, and Ralf all have secure seats in F1, despite having had race winning cars for many more seasons than Jacques, yet failing to chalk up as many wins as he (let alone a WDC) that it is Jacques who doesn't have a drive in F1??? Sad indeed.

But Button would have beaten JV to it had they been team mates at Williams this year

Haha sure if Jacques' Williams broke down in 9 out of 15 races I would expect him to!

On topic this is a bit like the traditional triple that only Graham Hill has done. Le Mans, The 500 and F1 (or Monaco). But includes the still being active, which makes it even harder.

It'll never happen again because nowadays drivers aren't allowed to compete in other categories without owner's permission. So a driver has to retire from F1 to compete in any other top flight championship.

Untill this year he was the only driver to have won both the Monaco GP and the Indy 500!

Two other drivers have won the F1 title, CART title and the Indy 500: Emerson Fittipaldi and Mario Andretti.

Mansell came close, but didn't quite manage it and I guess Monotoya could quite conceivably do it (pretty impressive winning the Indy 500 in a one off appearance in the IRL.
